In board communications Superintendent Dr. Kristin Baranski recognized School Social Worker Week, presented promotion dates and the board’s assignments, and asked to cancel the July 1 meeting; trustees agreed to meet instead on July 15. Baranski reported confirmed appointments with Representatives Carl DeMaio, Brian Jones and Darshana Patel on March 11 in Sacramento, and a meeting with Representative Darrell Issa on April 29 in Washington, D.C.
Baranski also presented a revised staff survey regarding student cell phone use on campus; with no suggested changes the district will send the survey to staff. Board members reported recent site visits (Pepper Drive, governance team visits) and community activities including a care closet and volunteer drives.
