Neighbor raises petition and emergency-access concerns about proposed church

During public comment, Dr. Moberg of Bog Meadow Run said the neighborhood submitted a petition opposing the church and described safety hazards on Bog Meadow Run during winter. "A petition was signed by over 90% of the people in our neighborhood that they didn't want the church to begin with," Moberg said, and added that existing conditions (snowbanks and a narrow roadway) make overflow parking a potential hazard for emergency vehicles.
Moberg urged the board to consider the safety implications of allowing an access or path that could encourage on-street parking. Board members acknowledged the petition and discussed options for reducing impacts, including the unimproved-cleared-path compromise and requiring the applicant to return with engineering responses and a plan to manage peak-event parking.
