Commission staff presented multiple recreation appointments and a classification change during the Oct. 30 meeting. Carissa Salvo said the agenda included two recreation assistants, three recreation leaders and one recreation specialist as noncompetitive, part-time positions, and noted these roles often continue into the winter season. Commissioners approved the noncompetitive appointments by motion.
Staff also said the recreation office manager title would be abolished and replaced by a recreation office administrator after funding and union processes were completed; the commission approved the abolishment. Salvo described the title change as a response to a department request and noted the position's funding had been resolved.
