Member Burns pulled item 4.7 for clarification. Assistant Superintendent David MacLeod explained the rationale for the reductions and restructurings: some Instructional Aide positions reflect changing student needs and normal attrition; the Computer Support Technician I and Publications Technician I positions were eliminated due to earlier department cost‑savings restructuring.
MacLeod stated that employees affected by these changes will be provided with alternative employment within the district if available; all employees experiencing a reduction of work hours or layoff will receive required notification prior to March 15 and will be placed on a reemployment list for no less than 39 months. Member Burns moved approval and the Board adopted the resolution 5‑0.
