The Saratoga Springs Civil Service Commission met Oct. 30, 2024, and approved a series of routine personnel actions across city departments, including provisional hires in public works and the mayor’s office, noncompetitive recreation appointments, and several school-department appointments. The body confirmed its quorum and carried each motion by recorded 'Aye' votes from the two commissioners present.
Staff coordinator Carissa Salvo summarized the key staffing developments and upcoming testing schedule. Salvo told commissioners the office will request a full-time position and flagged November and January exam dates; she also described the recent hires and the administrative step to abolish one recreation title and create another. The meeting adjourned at 9:47 a.m.
