Ben Cox requested that the group Moving Jacksonville Forward be allowed to meet at Village Hall because chamber offices were too small for the turnout they experienced. Trustees did not object and President Samples said the request would be accommodated.
Trustee Paula Stewart asked for the item to appear on the next agenda because Moving Jacksonville Forward's work could affect South Jacksonville zoning and traffic flow and because homelessness issues are arising in the area. Separately, the board discussed bringing Jeffery W. Coleman in at the May 15 Committee of the Whole meeting regarding an open trustee position; Attorney Roland Cross said he believed any appointment would last only until the next election.
