During the comments-from-the-floor portion of the May 1 meeting, resident Bryce Cox asked trustees to consider restoring the western half of Woods Lane to a rock surface. Cox said he would not request village labor and can facilitate the work and funding himself.
President Richard Samples said the board would revisit the request at the May 15 meeting and would research who holds authority over the road, noting an old ordinance that may be relevant and mentioning Morgan County Commissioners in that context. No action was taken at the May 1 meeting beyond scheduling further consideration.
