Board discusses water-tower inspection, hydrant flushing and okays cameras at utility sites

Trustees authorized installation of security cameras at the water plant, the softener-plant lift stations and the village shop for $3,945. President Richard Samples said IT contractor Matt Martin had already completed the installations and the board approved the expense unanimously. Fire hydrants will be flushed starting Wednesday and hydrant locations will be recorded with GPS coordinates, the board was told.
