The Santee City Council held public hearings and approved multiple annual levies and special assessments for FY 2025‑26. Resolutions passed included a special assessment for unpaid involuntary weed abatement costs (Reso 096‑2025), the Santee Landscape Maintenance District levy (Reso 097‑2025), the Town Center Landscape Maintenance District levy (Reso 098‑2025), the Santee Roadway Lighting District levy (Reso 099‑2025), and the CSA 69 successor agency levy within the Santee‑Lakeside EMS boundary (Reso 100‑2025). Each item was opened, staff presented findings, and the Council approved staff recommendations with unanimous votes recorded.
Code Compliance Officer Karen Maillet presented the weed‑abatement assessment; Engineering Director Carl Schmitz and Senior Management Analyst Jessica Clark answered Council questions on their respective items. The public record shows each motion carried without opposition; the hearings were closed after the votes and staff will proceed with collection and administrative follow‑up as mapped in the staff reports.
