City staff recommended incorporating Hammond Street into a larger, multimodal study to avoid duplicative costs and to take advantage of Transportation Master Plan actions; the council adopted an oral amendment adding the area from Bellevue Avenue to Memorial Boulevard and Morton Avenue. The administration said funding for a full-area study might be placed in the next capital improvement plan but that planning steps could begin sooner.
The resolution requires the administration to report back on feasibility, timeline and funding options once a scope is developed.
