Board appoints extracurricular advisors, coaches and approves maternity leave

The Windham-Ashland-Jewett Board approved a maternity leave of absence for Emily Lacombe effective Jan. 26, 2026 through June 22, 2026, to be paid using available accrued sick leave with unpaid leave as needed. The leave was included in the consent agenda and approved as part of the motion recorded on Oct. 8, 2025.

The board also appointed a range of extra-curricular staff for the 2025'2026 school year, subject to clearance of appointment. Named appointments in the minutes include Mock Trial Team Advisor Laura Giarrusso; Math Counts Club Advisor Jason Reinhard; Modified Boys Basketball Coach Eve Tuttle; Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Michael Pellettier and Assistant Coach Anthony Pettignano; Cheerleading Advisor Taylor Thorington; Alpine Skiing Assistant Coach Reginald Wilcocks; Snowboarding Co-Coach Ham Mason; senior class co-advisors Amanda Graham and Michael Pellettier; junior class co-advisors Tina Cody and Melissa Palumbo; sophomore class advisor Laura Giarrusso; freshman class advisor Julie Wawrzynek; volunteer sports pool Ryan Dempsey; drama production set designer Tara Weiman; and drama advisor/producer pool Annie Drewello, Melissa Palumbo and Tina Cody. Appointments were recorded as pending required clearances.
