The Windham‑Ashland‑Jewett board approved tenure appointments for Connie Berube (Elementary Education) and Chalya Pudlewski (English Language), both to take effect Sept. 1, 2025, following the district's Excellence in Tenure Policy and Education Law §3012(2)/Board of Regents part 30.3. The board also approved hiring multiple support and instructional staff for the 2025–26 school year, contingent where noted on clearance from the Commissioner of Education.
Among the personnel actions, the board appointed Tina Cody McGeeney to a probationary Special Education teaching position for a four‑year period effective Sept. 2, 2025 through Sept. 3, 2029, pending certification. Appointments for Teaching Assistants Alexis Lane (contingent on completing Teaching Assistant Level I certification, Sep. 2, 2025–Jun. 30, 2026) and Olivia Drum (Jul. 1, 2025–Jun. 30, 2026) were approved, as were substitute and long‑term hires including Stephen DeWitt and Sharon Quinn. Compensation for support staff was to follow the current W‑A‑J Support Staff Agreement.
