Student council reports: 456.5 pounds delivered to the food pantry, Arctic Raider races set

Student representative Sofia Donovan reported on recent student activities, including attending the NYS leadership conference in Niagara Falls and delivering 456.5 pounds of food raised through a school fundraiser. Donovan said students are making ornaments to donate to a nursing home, that Toys for Tots boxes across the district are overflowing, and that the Arctic Raider races on Dec. 23 will feature more than 15 teams.
"We got 456.5 pounds of food collected, and that was delivered," Donovan said. She highlighted other service efforts including a pajama drive for a local nursing home and encouraged continued student engagement in clubs and volunteer activities.
The student report provided a snapshot of ongoing school activities and volunteer efforts across the district.
