The Eden Central School District board moved and carried a series of consent agenda items offered by the superintendent. The board accepted the retirement resignation of social studies teacher Carrie Hamlett effective July 1, 2026, approved a revised start date for Sharon Gutowski, and permanently appointed Jean Bridal to a clerk typist position after a probationary HELPS appointment. The board also approved staff appointments and declared certain instructional materials excess (CKLA skills readers, first edition).
In business items, the board approved the 2026–27 budget calendar and accepted a recommendation to award the contract for health‑care insurance plan consulting and administrative services to Lawley LLC. The transportation route spreadsheet effective 12/12/2025 was also approved and the board passed a resolution dated 12/15/2025 related to capital project insurance funds. Each item was moved, seconded and carried during the consent votes.
Board members asked clarifying questions about the HELPS program and civil service backlog; the meeting record included a brief explanation of how HELPS appointments work pending civil service lists.
