As one member put it in the meeting’s discussion: "The director ... would seek to develop an optimization plan with the stated goals to reducing dropped and canceled routes, making our transportation department more efficient." Mayfield agreed, saying he would track the data and work to reduce canceled and dropped routes, and noted he expected to report results monthly or as directed by the board.
