Board approves hires, summer staff and overnight band trip

The board approved several personnel appointments and authorized an overnight band trip.
Clerk (S2) moved and the board approved appointment of Nicole Baldelli as a teacher aide on probation (04/23/2025–12/23/2025) with salary per contract and Stacy Pagan as a cleaner on probation (05/27/2025–11/27/2025). The board also approved summer labor appointments for Dylan Myers and Hunter Pettit (07/01/2025–08/30/2025), and a slate of summer transportation hires (drivers and attendants) for 2025 as read into the record. Each motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
S2 also moved approval of an overnight band trip to New York City from 05/30/2025 to 06/01/2025; the board approved the trip by voice vote. The clerk read the trip dates when moving the motion and the transcript records the motion was seconded and carried.
In addition, S2 moved the appointment of Cynthia Casper as a 12-month head bus driver effective 07/01/2025 with salary set under the CSEA contract (level 8, step 9); that motion was seconded and carried. The actions were presented in sequence and approved as part of routine personnel business recorded in the minutes.
