Board grants tenure to multiple teachers; district holds recognition

Acting on the superintendent’s recommendations, the board approved tenure for Andrea Ulrich (effective 08/30/2025), Adriana Pasella (effective 08/31/2025), April Agle (effective 08/31/2025), Diana Harvey (effective 08/30/2025), Claire Walker (effective 09/15/2025), Shelby Merkel (effective 08/31/2025) and others by individual motions that were seconded and carried by voice vote. The clerk (S2) read each recommendation and the board responded with "Aye" to approve multiple motions.
During the tenure celebration, principals and colleagues provided extended tributes describing each teacher’s assignment, years in Eden, evaluations and contributions to programs. Presenter S9 introduced Andrea Ulrich and said she "is an amazingly patient, dynamic, and skilled teacher" who supports inclusive practices and earned "highly effective" evaluations. Presenter S12 and others similarly highlighted work by Andrew Brunner, Kendall Bernardi, Diana Harvey and others, noting committee work, curriculum leadership and community engagement.
The group planned a photo in the hallway after the meeting to recognize recipients. Board members and staff repeatedly offered public congratulations and encouraged recipients to continue professional growth.
