District Manager Chuck Adams presented the unaudited financial statements as of Aug. 31, 2024, and the board voted to accept them unanimously on Oct. 15.
Adams said the district is opening a BankUnited Insured Cash Sweep (ICS) account to invest General Fund surplus funds. Supervisor Michael Walsh asked whether SOLitude could be asked to compensate the district for perceived poor performance; Adams said he will contact SOLitude and indicated he thought holding the vendor 50% responsible would be reasonable if warranted.
The motion to accept the unaudited financial statements passed on a motion by Michael Walsh, seconded by Carol Vaughan, with all supervisors in favor.
