The Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School District Board of Education voted Aug. 13 to adopt Policy #7315, "Students and Personal Electronic Devices," taking the policy out of the first-reading stage by waiving a second reading and adopting it as presented.
Board President Jean Jaeger opened a public hearing on the proposed cell phone policy earlier in the meeting and noted there were no public comments. The policy adoption was included on the consent agenda approved by a 4–0 vote (Melissa Maldonado absent).
