Board approves consent agenda, accepts resignations and appoints substitutes and probationary staff
Summary
By voice vote the board approved the consent agenda, accepted several resignations effective in July–August 2025, and approved multiple short‑term and probationary appointments (summer substitute nurses, substitute director of facilities, bus and cafeteria staff).
The board voted to approve the consent agenda and, on superintendent recommendation, accepted multiple resignations and retirements and approved a slate of appointments.
Moderator read motions accepting the retirement of cleaner Valerie Farris effective 07/30/2025 and the retirement of bus driver Bradley Susanna effective 08/31/2025, and the resignation of teacher Jennifer Celso effective 08/12/2025; the board thanked departing employees for their service. The Moderator also read motions appointing multiple summer substitute nurses (Darlene Smith, Sarah Smith, Kate McKinnon, Jesse Schafer, Colleen Gaglione, Deanna Glendening, Jenny Rocco) effective 07/07/2025–08/15/2025 and appointing Joseph M. Farr as substitute director of facilities effective 07/08/2025–06/30/2026 at $50 per hour.
A range of additional probationary appointments and position starts (clerks, cafeteria monitors, cleaners, bus attendants and other positions) were read and approved by voice vote. Board members offered brief remarks of thanks to departing staff and welcomes to newly appointed employees.
