The Abernathy ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the district's 2023'24 financial audit at its Oct. 7 regular meeting.
Board member Matt Miller moved to approve the financial audit "for 2023-2024 as presented," a motion seconded by Scott Bickel and recorded as passing 6'0. The vote was reflected in the minutes as Manuel Adames Jr., Scott Bickel, David Carver, Ty Horsford, Matt Miller and Marcus Sullivan voting yea.
The audit approval was one of several formal actions taken during the meeting, which also included consent-agenda approval, officer nominations and policy-related resolutions. No further financial details or dissenting remarks are recorded in the minutes; the board proceeded to its other agenda items after the audit vote.
