Commission approves homestead lot split and APO for Burns property

The Butler County Commission voted unanimously to approve PL 26-22, a homestead lot split and Agricultural Preservation Overlay for a 50± acre AG-80 parcel at 5999 NW 110th St., Burns. Lori and William Broadie requested the split of roughly six acres for a homestead and placement of approximately 44 acres into an APO.
Toby Stewart said the parcel is served by a private well and private wastewater system and that Butler Rural Electric will provide electricity for the site. The Planning Commission recommended approval by a 5-0 vote prior to the county commission’s action. Commissioner Jeff Masterson moved to approve PL 26-22 and Commissioner Kelly Herzet seconded; the motion carried 5-0.
