The Windham‑Ashland‑Jewett Board on July 2 approved a slate of extra‑curricular appointments for 2025–2026 and made several personnel decisions in the consent agenda.
Among the appointments the board approved Athletic Director AJ Savasta, Alpine Ski Coach James Lawrence (also appointed to a four‑year probationary Physical Education teaching position effective September 2, 2025–September 3, 2029 with a base salary of $71,000, pending Commissioner of Education clearance), band and club advisors, coaches and other extracurricular roles. The board also approved additions to the substitute teacher, teacher assistant and nurse lists.
The Board accepted the resignation of Amy Lloyd, Confidential Assistant to the Treasurer, for the purpose of retirement effective December 31, 2025. The Board approved a maternity leave for Olivia Drum from September 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025 to be paid using available sick leave and unpaid leave as necessary.
