Allen ISD names TASB delegate, affirms officer slate; nomination for TASB board not advanced

At the June 15 meeting the Allen ISD Board of Trustees appointed Veronica Yost as the district's official voting delegate to the 2026 Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Delegate Assembly and named Becca Kinnear as the alternate. The motion to appoint the delegate and alternate passed 7 to 0.
Board discussion also touched on a potential nomination for the TASB Board of Directors. Dr. Bill Parker indicated interest in serving for Region 10, Position D, but the board did not support a nomination and no motion was made. The board also approved the slate of officers nominated at the May 26 meeting: Dr. Polly Montgomery as President, Dr. Bill Parker as Vice President, and John Holley as Secretary (motion carried 7 to 0).
