At the start of the Aug. 6 meeting staff gave several administrative updates: potential meeting dates (including a tentative Aug. 20 meeting and items planned for Sept. 17), a cancellation of the Oct. 1 meeting because staff will be unavailable, and notification that Town Council heard three appeals of the 700 Hawthorne project and remanded that project back to this board.
Staff also introduced contract assistant planner Mabel Voe, who recently graduated from Columbia University with a degree in urban planning and architecture and wrote her thesis on sea-level rise in Sonoma and Marin County. The planning team said a recruitment for a planning technician will likely be posted the following week and encouraged board members to help identify candidates.
