Cromwell-Wright Board certifies 2024 school board election; Homstad, Johnson and Granholm to fill three seats

The Cromwell-Wright Public Schools Board certified the results of the Nov. 2024 school board election at a special canvass meeting on Nov. 13. Board Chair Timothy Homstad read the reported vote totals before the board voted to approve the canvass.
Board members approved the results on a 5‑0 vote with one member absent. The motion to "approve the 2024 School Board Election Results as presented" was made by Shayne Korpela and seconded by Alisha Soderbloom. The board recorded the reported totals as: Timothy Homstad 706 votes, Tristan Johnson 688 votes, Brian Granholm 687 votes, with 40 votes recorded as write‑ins. The three vacant school board seats will be filled by Tristan Johnson, Timothy Homstad and Brian Granholm.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Board Chair Timothy Homstad; members present were Brian Granholm, Shayne Korpela, Tim Homstad, Alisha Soderbloom and Faith Nyberg. Tristan Johnson was listed as absent. Superintendent Nathan Libbon and Lynn Odegaard were also present. After approving the agenda at the start of the meeting, the board adjourned at 6:34 p.m.
