Board approves multiple policy updates and readings, including Student Attendance first reading

During its May 28 meeting the board approved changes to Policy 515 (Protection and Privacy of Student Records) on second reading and approved non-substantive changes to several other policies (604, 616, 620, 520, 418) on first-and-final reading. The board also approved a first reading of changes to Policy 503 (Student Attendance) and first readings for Policies 427, 530 and 615 addressing workload limits for certain special education teachers, immunization requirements and testing accommodations.
Board members recorded unanimous approval on these readings and approvals (motions carried 7-0). The minutes list the policy numbers and whether the changes were substantive or non-substantive; the minutes do not provide the text of the revisions.
