Taylor Morris told the board that the district received seven intruder-audit visits before winter break and that, to date, 27 of Mesquite ISD’s 52 campuses have been inspected by the auditor. He reported there were "still no findings" from those inspections and said the safety and security committee or an executive session would be used if anything requiring confidentiality surfaced.
The update was presented as part of the administration agenda. Trustees acknowledged the work and thanked the audit team for its efforts to maintain campus safety standards.
