Resident Tom Martin asked the Board about plans for Rolling Hills Loop and reported a dead tree near 18906 Rolling Hills Loop that has stood for two to three years and is an eyesore.
"There is a dead tree near the edge of my property at 18906 Rolling Hills Loop that has been there for two or three years," resident Tom Martin said, asking whether crews would remove it. Chair Kathleen Lonergan responded that the district engineer must determine whether trees inside the wetland can be cut and that staff would follow up with Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz.
Resident Don Brothers described a separate issue behind 11453 Heritage Point Drive: an invasive tree badly damaged during the recent hurricanes and a debris pile placed on CDD land by a previous owner that presents a hazard to nearby homes. Mr. Putman inspected and photographed the site the morning of the meeting, and the Board discussed stump grinding and A‑Z estimates (an item on the agenda) as remedial options.
The Board directed the engineer to investigate the wetland boundary near Mr. Martin's property and noted staff follow up on removal options. The approved $600 stump‑grind at 11453 Heritage Point Drive addresses Brothers' immediate removal concern as recorded in the meeting.
