The Anna Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Oct. 17 to retain the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to assist the district in conducting a superintendent search. The motion was made by Jason Adams and seconded by Shonda Rupe after the board met in closed session to review the search process and potential firms.
Board President Rhonda Lewis opened the meeting and the board entered closed session at 6:48 PM for consultation on the superintendent search, real property and personnel matters; the board returned to open session at 7:50 PM and approved the TASB contract without recorded opposition. The meeting minutes record the action as "The motion carried unanimously," and identify TASB as the firm approved to assist the district in the search.
