Mesquite ISD names Eda Martinez its November Star Paraprofessional

The Mesquite ISD Board of Trustees recognized Eda Martinez of Porter Elementary as the district's Star Paraprofessional for November, citing more than two decades of service and extensive classroom support duties.
Principal Lian Englert described Martinez's work supporting small-group interventions, transitions and classroom displays and noted her impact on student growth. "Ms. Martinez goes above and beyond every single day in her role as a paraprofessional," the principal said during the introduction.
The district also acknowledged a corporate partnership with 1st Financial Group of America that provides a gift card for the monthly recipient. Trustees and administrators applauded Martinez for consistent, hands-on support to students and staff across bilingual and monolingual settings.
