Ballinger ISD board delegates tax-rate calculations and temporary hiring authority to superintendent

In the same session the board also temporarily delegated to the superintendent final hiring authority for employment of contract employees; Trustee Scott King moved the delegation and Trustee Jason Strube seconded. Both actions were recorded as unanimous. The minutes do not identify the superintendent by name or specify the duration of the temporary hiring delegation; trustees recorded these administrative delegations so staff could complete time-sensitive fiscal and personnel tasks for the coming year.
