Ballinger ISD trustees approve code of conduct, employee handbook, T-TESS calendar and teacher pay increase

The Ballinger ISD Board of Trustees approved several policy and personnel items Aug. 14. Trustee Scott King moved approval of the 2024-25 Student Code of Conduct and a $1,000 increase for teachers and counselors with more than 20 years of experience; both motions passed unanimously. Trustee Jason Battle moved approval of the 2024-25 Employee Handbook and Trustee Jason Strube seconded; that motion also passed unanimously.
Trustees additionally approved the 2024-25 T-TESS calendar and appraisers and approved the 2024-25 ESSA/Title I Parent Compact and Family Engagement documents. Attachments were referenced for each item but specific operational details (for example, implementation timelines or budget line items) were included in the attachments rather than read into the minutes.
