Ballinger ISD board approves public meeting notice to discuss 2024-25 budget and tax rate

The Ballinger ISD Board of Trustees on Aug. 14 approved a Notice of Public Meeting to discuss and approve the 2024-25 budget and the 2024 tax rate. Trustee Jason Battle moved the motion and Trustee Scott King seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
During the Superintendent’s report board members were reminded that the next regular meeting is Sept. 9, 2024, that a Called Meeting to adopt the 2024-25 operating budget is scheduled for Aug. 26 at 5:30 PM (the date published for the public notice of tax rate adoption), and that the board may need a Called Meeting on Aug. 30 to approve any last-minute amendments to the 2023-24 budget.
