Board affirms keeping both schools; later master‑plan phases remain conceptual and unfunded

Harrison said the plan lists phases 1 through 7 but they "do not have to be completed sequentially." He and board members explained that Phases 1 (Hilton demolition) and 2 (Hilton driveway) are funded and underway, while later ideas such as a bus loop, athletic complexes and middle school renovations are conceptual and remain unfunded. Board Member Brad Chase said the process produced community consensus to keep both the high school and middle school in their current locations and that the middle school has "good bones," allowing the district to invest in upgrades rather than pursue an all‑new facility.
Trustees emphasized preserving operational funding to educate students is their top priority, saying that large bond proposals for the master plan would likely be secondary until operating finances are stabilized.
