Fox Lake council accepts CMAR, approves summer event licenses and awards raze bid

At its June 17 meeting the City of Fox Lake Common Council approved Resolution 12-2026 accepting the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report, granted temporary picnic licenses for four summer events, and awarded a raze contract for 107 West State Street to Buchda Excavating.
The regular meeting of the City of Fox Lake Common Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Bednarek at 6:30 p.m. on June 17, 2026. The council’s roll call showed Alderpersons Dan Ault, Marcy Benz, Peter Hartzheim, Joe Horetzki, Dennis Linke and Angela Thomas present along with City Administrator Kelly Crombie, DPW Superintendent Christopher Thurk, Police Chief Duane Olbinski and City Clerk Jenny Quirk.
The council moved through a brief agenda. A motion by Alderperson Peter Hartzheim, seconded by Alderperson Angela Thomas, approved the minutes of the June 3, 2026 meeting. The body then accepted Resolution 12-2026, a resolution accepting the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR), on a motion by Hartzheim and second by Linke. Later the council approved several temporary Class B picnic licenses for Chamber and community events and awarded the raze-order bid for 107 West State Street to Buchda Excavating. The meeting adjourned at 6:37 p.m.
