At the council's privilege of the floor, William Harris described ongoing nuisance conditions at an adjacent lot, 220 Roberts Street, telling the council the grass is ‘‘at least gotta be 8 feet tall’’ and that trees have fallen onto his house twice.
Harris said he does not know the property's owner and urged the city to determine ownership and remedy the hazards. A staff member told Harris the response will be a combined effort between the building department and public works and noted one of the parcels may be a city parcel while the other lies by the railroad.
