Board approves class of 2026, student service contracts and renews School Resource Officer MOU

The Brecksville–Broadview Heights Board on June 24 approved Superintendent Jeff Harrison’s recommendations including official recognition of the Brecksville–Broadview Heights High School graduating Class of 2026 and a slate of 2026–2027 service and tuition agreements for students requiring outplacement.
Agreements approved include ABA Outreach Services, KidsLink School, Cleveland Clinic Lerner School for Autism, Gerson School, Adult Day Transition Services and United Cerebral Palsy. Each motion was moved by Board Member Tish Kwiatkowski, seconded by Lisa Galek and carried unanimously (Resolutions 2026-94 through 2026-99). The board also approved a Step Placement Memorandum of Understanding between the district and the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Organization of Support Staff (BOE/BOSS).
On school safety, the board approved a three-year renewal of the School Resource Officer (SRO) memorandum of understanding with the City of Broadview Heights; the district will continue to pay 70% of the cost for one officer. The action carried 5-0 (Resolution 2026-106). The board additionally posted public notice under Ohio law that Kimberly Pena is retiring and seeking reemployment; a public meeting on that rehiring is scheduled for Aug. 26, 2026.
