Chief of Police Scot Bunch updated the Board on district safety and security measures during the Aug. 20 meeting, describing current and planned upgrades designed to improve campus safety. Initiatives include transitioning front entrances to badge-entry-only systems, installing additional surveillance cameras, restricting delivery vendors from bringing food directly to students, and developing standardized elementary pick-up and drop-off procedures.
President Ashley Mutschink thanked Chief Bunch and the police staff for their work. Trustees did not vote on the measures at the meeting; the presentation outlined operational changes and investments the district is implementing to secure campuses.
