Superintendent outlines facility upgrades, ADA work and recording requirements

Superintendent Theodore Clevenger updated the board on multiple facility projects and compliance matters. He said "new legislative policy dictates that Board meetings be recorded beginning September 1st," and added that "the recording and the approved board minutes must be posted by the Friday following the Board meeting," and that agendas must be posted three business days before meetings. On facilities, Clevenger reported that most fire suppression system equipment has been delivered and will be installed next week, though the water tank and tank house have not yet been installed and occupancy permits are required before restrooms and concession stands can be used.
Clevenger also reported that concrete has been poured for ADA ramps at concession stands and bathrooms, sidewalks and other ramps; visitor parking will be in front of the high school; the high school gym floor has been sanded; and cafeteria furniture is expected to be delivered in November. He noted the district will use interest-earned funds to obtain PA systems that were not included in the bond and that electricity has been pulled this week and awaits hookup.
