Engineers present sidewalk inspection plan; homeowners to be notified of driveway responsibilities

District Engineer Charlie Krebs presented the curb and sidewalk inspection report and outlined a proposed scope of work addressing areas rated severe. He has sent quantities to Collier Paving and expects vendor repair quotes for board consideration at the next meeting. Krebs said he is preparing a draft homeowner memorandum explaining upcoming curb and sidewalk repairs and clarifying homeowner obligations.
The draft memorandum will be sent to Mrs. Adams and Chair Schultz for review prior to distribution to homeowners; the minutes state that homeowners are "responsible for repairing their own driveways." Staff will return with vendor quotes and a recommended schedule for repairs.
