Board flags budget variances and signage errors in unaudited financials; asks for invoices and corrections

Mrs. Adams reviewed the unaudited financial statements as of Sept. 30, 2024 and identified apparent misclassifications and budget variances that require follow-up. She said "General Fund 'Engineering' is at 209% of budget," and noted "'Contingencies' is at 421% of budget because $4,209 belongs under 'Other contractual' as it is a Landscaping expenditure." Mrs. Adams asked Corporate to provide paid invoices and the General Ledger so the items can be corrected in the next financials.
Board members also discussed operational items: Mr. Krebs reported he sent emails to Lykins-SignTek about incorrect signage (a sign that should read Southern Hills Drive was made as Southern Hills Court) and staff noted that 50 or more lake and wetland signs are rusted and unsightly. Mr. Willis was asked to inspect conservation-area signage and remind Premier Lakes about installing replacement signs.
