River Ridge Board appoints resident Keith Merrill to fill vacant Seat 1

At its Oct. 22 meeting the River Ridge CDD unanimously appointed longtime Pelican Sound resident Keith Merrill to fill Seat 1 through November 2026; Mrs. Adams administered the Oath of Office and staff and counsel reviewed ethics and Sunshine Law obligations.
The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Keith Merrill to fill the vacant Seat 1 at its Oct. 22, 2024 regular meeting. Mr. Schultz nominated Merrill and "On MOTION by Mr. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Twombly, with all in favor, the appointment of Mr. Keith Merrill to fill Seat 1, was approved." The seat's unexpired term runs through November 2026.
Mrs. Adams, a notary, administered the Oath of Office to Merrill and, together with District Counsel Tony Pires, reviewed required ethics training and disclosure filings, Sunshine Law obligations, public records rules, use of CDD email and conflict-of-interest procedures. The board instructed staff to provide forms and guidance regarding Form 1, Form 8B and other required filings.
