Bastrop ISD trustees complete Team of 8 governance training, set priorities for 2026–27

At a special called meeting July 14, 2026, Bastrop ISD trustees participated in Team of 8 leadership and governance training led by Dr. Eddie Coulson, a consultant with N2 Learning. The training focused on effective governance practices, board operating procedures, and strengthening the Board–Superintendent partnership.
Trustees reviewed the district’s 2025–26 accomplishments and preliminary student achievement data and used the workshop to discuss governance goals and priorities for the 2026–27 school year. Trustee Ashley Mutschink participated remotely. The minutes do not record formal voting on priorities; the session was conducted as a workshop and work-product from the training was reviewed by trustees.
