The Forest County Salary Board voted Dec. 17 to offer the Probation Officer I position to Jared J. Beers at a starting rate of $17.50 per hour plus applicable benefits. The motion was made by Commissioner Robert J. Snyder Jr. and seconded by Treasurer Barnes; the vote carried unanimously.
The minutes list Beers' qualifications: bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology; current Acts 34, 151, 114, 126 and 168; CPR; First Aid; Narcan; Safe Crisis Management (SCM); and two years of field experience. The board recorded the offer and closed the Salary Board at 10:13 a.m.
