The Forest County commissioners voted Dec. 3 to approve the purchase of a 2026 Dodge Durango for the Probation Department at a purchase price of $57,395.00.
The motion (made by Commissioner Patrick Kline and seconded by Commissioner Robert J. Snyder) approved financing terms: $15,000 from probation administrative funds and $5,000 from supervision funds, with the remaining $37,395.00 to be paid from the Operating Reserve PLGIT Account. The Probation Department will make monthly payments to replenish the Operating Reserve at a 4.23% interest rate over a 10-year term. The request was submitted by Mark Roads, Chief Probation Officer; the minutes record unanimous approval.
