The Wise County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the Consent Agenda on June 11, 2026. Recorded actions included adoption of the Emergency Operations Plan (Resolution #29-2026), adoption of the Wise County Coal and Gas Severance Tax Road Improvement Advisory Committee resolution (Resolution #30-2026), and confirmation of membership with the Lonesome Pine Regional Industrial Facilities Authority (Resolution #31-2026). The Board also approved appointment of an Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) administrator and a Proclamation for Building Safety Month (Proclamation #2-2026).
In appointments and administrative business, Natalie Chapman was re-appointed to the Spearhead Trailblazers Board of Directors for a three-year term. Karen Mullins was re-appointed to the Crooked Road Board of Directors for a four-year term and authorized to appoint an alternate. Jackie Johnson was re-appointed to the LENOWISCO Planning District Commission Board for a three-year term and Harry Kelly was appointed to the same commission for a three-year term. Several appointments— including to the Community Policy and Management Board, the Board of Equalization and the Industrial Development Authority—were tabled to future meetings.
