Board members discussed the likely effects of local, state and federal funding on the 2025–26 budget during the Feb. 24 meeting. The minutes record a general discussion but do not show a formal budget vote or adoption of a fiscal plan.
Elementary Principal Amy Huseman reported upcoming elementary testing (4–6 reading interims), parent conferences scheduled for March 25 and a bingo night on March 4. Huseman also reported on junior high/high school items including UIL, OAP, spring break and cheer tryouts. Athletic Director Bradan Ritchey reported on tennis, softball, baseball and track openers and noted some events were canceled due to weather. Superintendent Jon Hartgraves briefed the board on pending legislation concerning teacher pay and school vouchers. The board entered executive session at 7:00 p.m. to discuss personnel and reconvened at 8:44 p.m.; personnel topics were discussed in executive session and no further personnel detail was recorded in open session.
