Council discussed a possible ordinance to restrict parking on Zion Road between Tilton and the bike path and was advised that the street is a County road, so any local restriction would require County consent.
Solicitor Facenda said the Council could suggest no-parking but must first coordinate with the County. He noted that, "based on the roadway width, if 28' or greater you have to permit parking on one side," and recommended that Engineer Gina Nassar contact the County Engineer and that the Police Department evaluate whether parked vehicles create safety problems. Council members agreed to have staff follow up and report back at the next meeting.
