The board approved several consent-agenda items and recorded motions during the Oct. 16 meeting.
Recorded approvals included: minutes from the Sept. 9, 2024 meeting; the 2023–2024 audit presented by Patillo, Brown & Hill; BEEF Grants totaling $31,283.68 for K–12 teachers; an employee insurance/end-of-year compensation stipend; revisions to the 2024–25 academic calendar; a revision to the administrator pay scale; and creation of a new Special Education aide position. Each item was recommended by Superintendent Mr. Skeeler and carried on recorded motions (movers and seconders are listed in the minutes). The minutes record each approval as unanimous among members present; Lance Donaldson was absent for the roll calls.
The board recessed to a closed session to consider personnel, student-discipline matters and a security discussion; on reconvening the minutes state the board considered possible action on resignations/employment but do not record a public vote outcome for those personnel items in the minutes.
